Klaus🎄

This week on Monday we watched this christmas movie called Klaus we watch the movie because the next we were going to comprehended about the movie. The movie talks about kindness, giving, and friendship and talks about true selfless act sparks another and friend are always there for you.

Then on Tuesday Mrs Cutler gave us a paper that had 12 questions and activities about the movie. We had questions like write down 10 facts about reindeer, and there was one like write to friend to full their Bucket.

I enjoyed starting to make a sled before it broke and I enjoyed doing this activity that was design in your book your Christmas Town and I enjoyed learning more about Rein deer.

Should the sale of Guy Fawkes be banned in New Zealand🧨🔥

I strongly disagree that Guy Fawkes sales should be banned in New Zealand Because it is more fun to enjoy it with your friends, and your family and you can warn your neighbour around you so they can take care of there pets and with  pets you can take them to your friends or family's house so it doesn´t  harm them and for the chances of fire...

Fireworks is more fun to enjoy it with friends and family because Guy Fawkes brings everyone together to hang out and see the cool colours in the fireworks and heard sound of the fireworks .

 Make sure warn  your neighbours that you are doing Guy Fawkes so they can take care and look after there pets so they are not so frighten of the noises going on.   

Also for the pets safety you could ask if your friends or family don´t mined take your pets to their house and invite them to join you to do Guy Fawkes.



Also to stop the chances of fires NZ should  celebrate it on a NZ Celebration date in winter time to stop the chance of fire because Guy Fawkes is celebrated in Summer time when everything is dry.

So in Conclusion I Strongly disagree that  Guy Fawkes should be banned.
 

My Long Weekend Ride with My Cousin and My Aunty 🐴

On Labour Weekend  on Monday afternoon we load up the horse float with Lady My horse and went down to My cousin Dankia´s house were they loaded there horses onto there float and then we went to the start of the Takhue Saddle we ride through water ride up hills.

Then it hit 4:30 and we start heading back. The horse were racing back they loved going back down the hills. we got back to the start but Dad and My Uncle Zane hadn´t come back yet to pick us up So we start walk along Saddle Rd back to the Takhue Road on the way back we saw a 5 other horse in a Paddock.

 Then when we were almost to the Takhue Hall we meet we a evil little dog. We started riding pass but then the little rush at the horses, the horse didn´t worry about it but Aunty Karens scream scared the horse I was on. Then we made our way to the Takhue hall and wait for them to come and pick us up. The Ride was Awesome and Scary.

Picasso Art🖌

Lately this term we have been learning about Pablo Picasso. Did you know that Pablo Picasso's first real art he did was made at the age of 9 years old and he was born in Spain. His full name is Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso. Pablo was famous for his cubsim art. His art inspired our class to make our own cubsim art.

First we started with this piece of paper that was called Roll- a Picasso. So we got into a group of 3 and Mrs Cutler handed us a dice. Mrs Cutler explained that with the Roll- a Picasso there were two choices of your face your nose your eyes and  your lips so we rolled the dice. We got our face parts and then Mrs Cutler gave us a piece of paper and lots of cut up pieces of paper. We would draw our face parts onto the cut up pieces of paper and then rearranged our face parts and then glued them where we wanted them on the piece of paper. This is my draft.

So we used our drafts to copy it onto good paper for our good copy. So after we drew our good copy we started our colouring in with pastels so after a few days of using pastels we got our ones done so here is my Pablo Picasso cubsim Art.

My Narrative The Trip of Time Travel ✏

In 1908 there was a kid named Ella. It was a shiny summer day and  as Ella was taking out the trash, she blocked her noise from the stench. Then she found an old watch.  So she went into the backyard with the watch. Then her friend John came ¨ do you want to go the lake with us we're taking the boat and we're going to do some biscuiting¨ Okay.

                30 Minutes Later

Ella looked at her watch and it was starting to go backwards and unexpectedly her and John started floating in the air and then they disappeared into a colourful hole then they dropped down into a Jungle and not did they relies is that they had gone back into the 1000 when the dinosaurs were still alive.

As  they looked up they saw a Brachiosaurs Ella said I researched about them if you feed them they will let you be there friend so they got lots of leaves and grasses and feed them to the dinosaurs so they went for a search around the island. Then John asked how did we get here in the first place it's not like that happens everyday I think it was something to do with this watch I found this Morning that explains  a lot so lets go back, wait I want to explore this place because we have the chances to see things that other people don't get to see everyday, no lets go home then they start fighting over it and then it broke what do we do now.

 Suddenly they a saw a purple light that shined in Ella's eyes it looks like a purple Crystal lets go check it out fine  like there is nothing here to do and any way we can't go back home.  So they made there way to the light then they tried to get it but what they didn't know that they opened a door to a lab then they meet a man Old Man Jackson he was in his lab doing experiences then he said you want to make a trade what. Do you have a old Time Travel Watch yes but its a bit broken that fine here take this new one and I will fix this old one Thank you very much. So they use the watch to go back home but Ella and John didn't land at home they landed at a Castle Ella said that is not right. So they did it again and they landed in the lake where everyone was still biscuiting with the boat. THE END

Taste Testing🥘

 Throughout this year Mostly On Tuesdays we have been doing this thing that we call Mahi Tahi Working Together As One . It is when we get together with the 3 Senior Class Kakapo, Te Kahu, and My Class Tui. So how we do this it is by the teachers getting us into groups and we do activities. and also when we do these activities the teacher looks out for our 4Cs Communication, Collaboration, Critical thinking, Creativity. So today we did a taste testing challenge. So the teachers put us into groups, then we got a piece of cloth for a blindfold and then we had to choose a Taster and a Guesser so the teachers gave us a type of food and the taster tasted and the taster had to describe what is was and the Guesser had to try and Guess what type of food it was. For (Eg) some of the food were Marmite, Icing Sugar And Golden Syrup. So I can´t wait for  the next Mahi Tahi we do.

My Biography about Sir Edmund Hillary ⛰

Sir Edmund Hillary was born in Tuakua south of Auckland on the 20th of July 1919

Edmund had 1 brother Rex Hillary  and 1 sister June Hillary 

In 1969 Sir Edmund Percival Hillary start at a local school Grammar school in Auckland. people were amazed of Edmund active imagination about adventures and climbing. 

Then in his 30s he was being a beekeeper at Auckland. Then when he got to the age of 33 he choose to set a task and it was to climb Mt Everest

his parents were Percy Hillary and Gertrude Clarke.

through all his Achievement in life his biggest was his climb of Mt Everest but on his travel he also built 27 School 2 Hospitals 12 Clinics and an airfield and several bridges over raging rivers at the the Himalayan

and he is the man well known for climbing Mt Everest and being on the 5 dollar Note.

I choose the Dame Valerie Adams for my 200 dollar Note because she is a New Zealand Medallist she was born in Rotorua  New Zealand birth name Valerie Kasantia Adams.

I choose a New Zealand hawk because they are Strong and Majestic bird like Valerie Adams.

I did Rotorua geysers because it was her home town area and I choose black for the colour of my $200 note

A biography it is a piece of writing that you do about someone else like our class did a biography about Sir Edmund Hillary

To write a successful biography you need to include information about the persons  Early Life, What is so important about them, Where do they live in the World, Some Fun facts about them, and there Character Traits.

So on the Contract we have my favourite activity WORDS OF THE WEEK.                                                                                                                              we do this because is good for you because when you are older you will known the meaning of other word. we do lots of it and I love it

Not long ago in Tui classroom on our maths contracts we had a activity. The teacher said we will need it for later on in the week.

The activity was to draw on a piece of paper that she had gave us. On it we had to draw lots of different  patterns. Then  a couple weeks after our teacher showed us a video about Sandra Silberzweig. And how Sandra makes such good art works. And how she use real nice and  bright colours and how she blends with   colours. The video also talk about primary colours and the Secondary colours. it talk about the colour wheel and which colours blend with each other. and how ever you make it be perfect or im-perfect. And then after that we did some practice pictures and we got to do 1 or 2 practices  and then you could choose one or make a 3rd one  and mix your pattern from each practise. then we copied it on to the good paper then after that we did Indian ink and use thick lines and thin lines then we pastel ed the art then after I needed to redo my India ink and it was real fun  doing.

Yesterday we got put into groups of two. My buddy was Ricardo. The teacher said one person in the group go to one side of the room and the other stay were they were.

 So what the teacher did was 1 side of the room came outside and she set their task. But they were not allowed to tell the other side of the room what there task was. On my side of the room were drawing aliens.

So I drew a alien. And then after we had finished we had to write instructions on how to draw our creature.  We had to make sure we had made it specific, they where only allowed to come to us if they couldnt read our writing. The other side  of the room was doing monsters

 So our teacher was trying to make us write specific for example today we did how to tie your laces. and with that we had to be specific with our writing so they would do it right. 

So when we read their books it said what we had to do to make their creature.

And so as I said we did how to tie your laces. so what we did was we had to writing about  how to tie your laces we would write about it then one person in the class would do what they said on their paper

I see my family being snatched and killed right in front of my face.
I hear my family making trumpeting warning to tell me to hide and stay away. I hear the hunter chatting  about how they can get a couple dollars for there horns.
I feel sadness In my heart and wondering if I will see them again

NZ Birdy Clay Fun

This year we have been doing learning about sustainability in the world and NZ. We did some learning about native birds.

ln Week 3 our class we did activity where we had to choose a native bird, I choose a Tui. So we had to do a draft. After we had to make it from clay I enjoyed making the birds with the clay

and this week we are researching native birds and this is mine

PEST PROBLEM

We created an animation to share a message about environment issue in NZ and give people some ideas on how to help. I chose to make mine about a Possums because they are killing our native trees.

On Tuesday 2nd of April we a have time when us senior kids do have to working together as one and its call Mahi Tahi we do it every Tuesday and Thursday normally we do  Creative activities . when we are doing these activities we the 4 Cs   Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critically thinking. But this activity we were doing was baking for our Whanau Hui Night and we had our parents coming so these time for Mahi Tahi we are doing baking we made Lemon Slices Lolly Cakes and lots more. My group made  a Lemon Slices we use  Condensed Milk Coconut Lemon Juice Biscuits Butter and for the Icing we used Icing sugar hot water lemon. when we were putting on the icing we noticed that we didn't have enough icing We were going to make some more but there was no more icing sugar so when it was finish it had a small coat of icing but still taste good.
